Lizz Winstead
Mark your calendar today - you will not want to miss this special anniversary celebration!
On Friday, September 24th, The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury will celebrate its 35th Anniversary with an evening of comedy at the Palace Theater in Danbury. After a wine and light refreshments reception beginning at 7:00 p.m., two nationally known comedians - Lizz Winstead and Erin Judge - will perform for friends and supporters of The Center.
Lizz Winstead was the co-creator of The Daily Show. In addition to her commentary on numerous radio shows, she has appeared on both CNN and MSNBC. Since 2007, Winstead has produced and hosted a live show in New York City called Shoot The Messenger, a satirical wrap-up of the week’s news. Some long-time supporters of The Women’s Center may even remember her from our 20th Anniversary celebration when she performed to a packed audience at the Amber Room.
Erin Judge is a comedian and writer whose stand-up pokes fun at gender, sexuality, pop culture, and “anything else the universe throws her way.” Judge appeared on the third season of Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham television show and has performed at numerous clubs, colleges and festivals around the country and the world.
Since 1975, The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury has provided uninterrupted service to the women, men, and children of the Greater Danbury area. This is indeed a feat to be celebrated, so please join us. Tickets are $35 per person in advance, $50 at the door.
